BYOD is just the beginning

Neat Open isn’t traditional BYOD with a few extra features bolted on. It’s a bigger idea of what a BYOD space can be. Traditional BYOD solves a relatively simple problem: connecting your laptop to the technology in the room. But the way people work now demands much more.

Neat Open starts with premium BYOD and puts Neat’s unique audio, video, and intelligent capabilities to work on the meeting platform of your choice. Connect your laptop via USB-C, then pair your browser with the room at go.neat.no to control camera framing, microphone mute, and speaker volume directly from your laptop.

Better still, control doesn’t belong exclusively to whoever happens to be connected to the USB-C cable. Anyone in the room can pair through a browser and control the room from their own laptop, giving people greater freedom to collaborate without passing cables, controllers, or remotes around the table. And when the video call ends, Neat Open gives the room even more ways to work.

Neat Open Apps—formerly Neat App Hub—brings a growing ecosystem of business and collaboration applications directly to Neat devices, giving you more ways to work throughout the day. Teams can collaborate, create content, run interactive sessions, manage room booking and visitor experiences, display signage, or access browser-based tools, SaaS platforms, and internal applications.

The same Neat space can support a video call one moment, a local brainstorm the next, and an entirely different workflow after that.

Bring AI to every conversation

Some of the best conversations happen outside scheduled video meetings. So why should meeting intelligence stop there?

AI Notes automatically capture discussions, decisions, and next steps across BYOD calls, local in-room conversations, and app-based sessions. They keep the conversation connected as people move between activities, creating a consistent record rather than tying meeting intelligence to one particular video platform or workflow.

Instead of presenting people with another lengthy transcript to work through, AI Notes turns the conversation into structured summaries organized into expandable categories. An interactive Ask panel lets you query the meeting content directly, making it easier to revisit a decision, surface an important detail, or find the answer to a specific question.

AI Notes will initially be available in beta, with Neat Pulse giving you control over how you use it. It brings AI to the way people actually use a space, not just the calls they make from it.

Share together, without starting a call

Not every meeting needs a video call. With Neat Open, multiple participants can wirelessly share content during local, in-room sessions, with each person choosing what to focus on in their own browser and precisely controlling what appears on the Neat device display. The room no longer waits for another call. Whatever happens next, it’s ready.
