Towering Innovation: Independent Report Benchmarks Neat up Top
Hayley Spooner, Aug 1, 2024
Compelling research from industry analysts Frost & Sullivan shows Neat poised and ready for growth through rapid innovation.
Neaters are proud to see that their tremendous efforts to shake up the world of video collaboration have been recognized by independent analysts at Frost & Sullivan. The details of Neat’s award-winning innovation, and rapid and enduring growth can be found in a new report titled “Meeting Room Video Conferencing Devices, 2024: A Benchmarking System to Spark Companies to Action – Innovation That Fuels New Deal Flow and Growth Pipelines.”
Let’s get into the report…
The meat of the report centers around Frost & Sullivan’s trademark “Frost Radar,” a deep analysis of 14 of the 50+ video conference device vendors in-category, unpacking in detail how each one performs across a wide range of indicators. The findings can be understood at a glance. The Frost Radar™ culminates in a simple visual, mapping the 14 companies across four quadrants: low to high growth, and low to high innovation.
As you can see, Neat appears top right, standing shoulder to shoulder with Cisco and Logitech. Despite being founded in only 2019, Neat’s comprehensive portfolio of purpose-built video solutions – from our do-it-all-and-more video bars and boards, to our latest center-of-table device – has become the tech of choice for a whopping 13,000 customer base, in 55 different countries.
The company’s 2023 performance reflects its success: as the challenging macro environment and curtailed spending resulted in steep market declines for all leading vendors, Neat’s revenue held up and outpaced the market. This is a testament to Neat’s approach of staying true to its DNA of success through innovation, which has earned it consistent customer loyalty.

Innovation how?
“Innovation.” It’s easy enough to say, but a whole lot harder to achieve. Manufacturers with an “Innovation Team,” awkwardly bolted onto an otherwise static company, simply won’t get there. For innovation to happen, it must bubble like magma at the very center of a volcano. Unrelenting alchemy, ever ready to disrupt. Let’s face it, not everyone can take that kind of heat. Neaters on the other hand, thrive on it. The tone was set from day one, when the company was founded by experienced industry mavericks, hell-bent on doing things differently. Better, with AI baked into the core meeting experience.
Take Neat’s approach to sound for instance. The Frost & Sullivan report highlighted our devices’ impressive audio capabilities, including deep noise suppression, dereverberation, the elimination of double talk issues, as well as hearing accessibility support. The report also pointed to our powerful alliance with Shure, a leading provider of installed audio solutions, as a smart partnership that will extend Neat’s reach into larger and more acoustically challenging meeting spaces.
The report also praised Neat’s patented technologies, Neat Symmetry and Neat Boundary. The former combines advanced AI with people-finding to dynamically auto-frame each person in the room, tracking them as they change positions, stand or move around. The latter enables users to define specific parameters for the camera to operate within, preventing people beyond your meeting being automatically framed and captured on screen.
With all these clever features, you might be thinking Neat devices are difficult to use. Thankfully that’s not the case. Part of Neat’s mission is to make devices that are straightforward and intuitive to use, right out of the box. Frost & Sullivan agreed that Neat’s philosophy of simplicity was self-evident in our elegant, scalable and above all fool-proof solutions.
What about software?
Another important metric for success in the video collaboration space is how rapidly and intelligently a company is evolving its software stack for hybrid work. In recent years Neat launched Neat Pulse, a cloud-based platform that helps companies manage all their Neat devices from one single dashboard. Devices can be deployed, updated and restarted – entirely remotely – and settings can be changed too. Customers can also see insights on meeting room occupancy, temperature, air quality and more, enabling them to make highly informed decisions about how to use and maintain their meeting spaces.
Neat has also introduced Neat App Hub. This makes third-party apps available on Neat devices, including room and hot desk booking apps like Appspace, askUMA, Flowscape and more. Collaboration apps such as Lucid and Miro will also be available, as well as a range of much-loved web-based enterprise solutions like Salesforce and Trello.
[Neat] offers an ever-expanding rich ecosystem of apps that it has co-developed with leading technology partners.

A word on sustainability
Naturally, manufacturers across all industries must strive to be sustainable to win the hearts of minds of today’s eco-conscious customers. For this reason, Frost & Sullivan also took sustainability into account in their meticulous report. Neat is on a path to becoming more sustainable, with some initiatives already in play and others in development. The report honed in on Neat’s efforts in power consumption reduction, as an example of one of Neat’s more sustainable achievements.
Neat’s devices have an auto-wake system from the outset, which saves 80% on the power consumption of a device when it is not in use, putting the system and connected screens into sleep mode and waking up when people enter the room.

Neat’s shipping and circular design also got a mention:
The Neat Board 50’s box enables the company to ship 37% more units in a single container, and the felt room dividers in its adaptive stand are made from 50% recycled plastic.

This is part of a broader drive to shift from using virgin plastics to incorporating more post-consumer recycled plastics, an exciting milestone on Neat’s roadmap.
It’s onwards and upwards for Neat
When it comes to bridging the gap between remote and in-office workers, boosting equity, engagement and overall meeting satisfaction – it pays to choose Neat. But don’t just take our word for it.
In a few years, Neat has gone from a new market entrant to a leading provider of meeting room devices. Focusing on design and user experience as a core part of its brand identity, Neat has proven its mettle with products and features that redefine the video meeting experience.
