It All Adds Up: Why Financial Companies Love Neat

Hayley Spooner, Feb 13, 2025

From a European banking group serving 17 million customers to a Dutch pension fund managing assets of €253.901 billion, leading-edge banks and financial services companies are positively gushing about their Neat video meeting devices.

This week we take a closer look at our valued customers in the finance sector, to better understand why they chose Neat to be their video innovation partner. We’ve interviewed OTP Group, one of the fastest-growing banking groups in Europe, serving 17 million customers; PGGM, the second largest pension fund in the Netherlands; Peapack-Gladstone Bank, a market leader within the metro New York region; and finally First National Bank of Omaha, one of the largest and oldest banks in the United States.

Security you can count on in today’s world

Look inside OTP Bank’s Budapest HQ, and its 300+ branches across Hungary, and you’ll see a vast array of Neat BoardsNeat Bars, and Neat Bar Pros – all configured for Zoom and managed centrally with Neat Pulse. It’s a beautiful sight, but more than that it’s a safe and secure solution for hybrid working.

Neat OS includes a hardware-backed secure boot and verified boot for a tamper-proof startup, user data encryption to protect sensitive information, anti-rollback protection to prevent downgrades to vulnerable software, and a hardware-backed keystore for secure storage of cryptographic keys. In fact it was Neat’s multi-layered approach to safeguarding privacy and system integrity, that won over OTP Bank.

Neat’s secure data encryption was a significant factor in us choosing Neat over other hardware providers.

Simplicity that saves time and money

We all know the mantra “time is money”, but to truly witness it put into action look no further than the financial sector! Specifically, to Dutch not-for-profit pension provider PGGM, which managed €253.901 billion in total assets in 2020.

These pension and asset management experts are proud owners of a large suite of devices, including Neat Bar, Neat Bar Pro, Neat Board, and Neat Board 50—all integrated with Microsoft Teams and deployed across 65+ office spaces. What they love the most about them is how easy they are to use and update (and how time-saved troubleshooting sound and picture issues boosts their bottom line).

We used to receive many negative comments from customers regarding our old video tech. But with Neat, everything’s much more stable. People are far happier, which is a huge relief for our organization.

Rick Hagen, Product Owner Modern Workplace, PGGM.

Tri-State boutique bank and trust Peapack-Gladstone has a similar story. Again, the key to adopting Neat was simplicity. With the ability to start meetings at the push of a button and screen-share wirelessly, they found their employees were up and running in minutes – with far fewer calls to IT.

Neat’s easy-to-use wireless sharing has been a game changer. We initially put instruction pamphlets into the video-enabled rooms, but found people didn’t need them. The fact that we don’t need a dedicated A/V person on staff to manage this is amazing.

John Kowal, Chief Technology Officer, Peapack-Gladstone Bank.

What’s more, Peapack-Gladstone reports productivity is up, which they attribute to Neat Board, and Neat Board 50. The whiteboarding features in these devices make virtual collaboration seamless, helping people stay ‘in flow’ when they’re problem-solving or generating new ideas.

Video meeting experiences that deliver true parity

They may be 165 years old, but family-owned First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) have a thirst for modernisation and a commitment to creating the workplace of the future. To achieve their vision of a flexible workspace they rolled out Neat Bar, Neat Bar Pro, and Neat Board to provide intuitive, consistent video experiences for around 5,000 employees – many of whom have a hybrid working style. Historically, working from home could put you at a disadvantage. You felt like a fly on the wall in meetings, struggling to hear and see the action, let alone make a contribution. The thing FNBO loved most about Neat devices is that they close the gap between people working in the office and at home, better than any other video solution out there.

In the past, people may have had the mindset that everyone needed to be in the office to do the really important projects and work, but with Neat and Zoom, everyone is ‘here’ even if they aren’t all in the same room. Everyone can be seen and heard equally, everyone can see the whiteboard and any content, and everyone can participate equally. That has really opened up our organization to recognize that work done in the office and work done at home can be the same.

Lee Kuenstling, AV Systems Manager, FNBO.

One of the most compelling ways that Neat devices deliver enhanced meeting equity, is through its patented technology Neat Symmetry. Neat Symmetry automatically frames everyone in the meeting space perfectly, even those positioned at the back of the room, and even follows people as they get up out their seats and move around. This enables remote meeting attendees to see everything close-up, so they never miss a thing.

A clear winner for the finance sector

Security. Check.

Simplicity. Check.

Equity. Check.

(And these are just some of the reasons why our customers love Neat.)
